Cost Estimator at our subsidiary ASG

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects and services.
Develop rapport with customers at all levels and respond promptly to customer needs.
Prepare final bill of materials, including cost to company and selling price, and write up a final quote using spreadsheet capabilities.
Develop and provide input on assembly requirements needed to determine the total labor and gross margin for a customer's order.
Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment and maintain time and production records.
Create detailed schedule time lines to ensure customer shipment dates and equipment specifications are met.
Work closely with Sales in identifying opportunities to develop new business and expand existing accounts.
Develop a marketing strategy with Sales to promote sales at the identified target accounts.
Utilize relationships with the decision-makers to leverage value-add at the identified target accounts.
Participate in the development, negotiation and execution of contract terms with customers and vendors.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline or accounting/finance and a minimum of 7 years in a manufacturing production environment, specifically machine tooling or electrical/electronics assembly or circuitry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Material Management desirable, but not required.
Highly motivated and driven self-starter who enjoys the challenge of solving customer needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of electrical construction requirements and ability to formulate procedures.
Respond promptly to customer product needs and expectations; meet commitments.
Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit.
Proficiency at an intermediate level using Microsoft Office, including Excel, and ERP inventory and order processing systems
Project a professional corporate image.


Sales Engineer at our subsidiary ASG

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Travel to customer sites within a New England territory to meet with decision makers, assessing capital equipment and OEM needs and developing product and service solutions for presentation and closure of sale.
Build and maintain effective, long-term relationships with customers' decision-makers within the identified target markets and accounts.
Review and interpret customer specifications and technical drawings to develop and prepare technical and commercial proposals for products and services, including product margins and market prices.
Conduct and/or support customer proposal negotiations with the Cost Estimator.
Research and develop business plans for new emerging markets adjacent to core markets and competencies to generate profitable growth.
Meet or exceed sales goals as specified in the business plan.
Provide critical feedback to Management on all issues that affect the ability to grow market share and add value to the organization by recommending and implementing effective strategies to address competitive threats and trends.
May attend industry trade shows and sales conferences.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of 10 years proven track record in technical capital equipment sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Highly motivated and driven self-starter who enjoys the challenge of solving customer needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective group presentation skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of targeted markets and competition.
Project a respectable business image and leadership traits.
Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit.
Computer literacy including ability to make presentations using PowerPoint.
Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record is required.


Sales Account Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Develops relationships with the decision-makers within the identified target accounts.
Monitors the technology trends evaluated and implemented at the identified target accounts.
Develops a marketing strategy with Sales to promote the sales of assigned technologies at the identified target accounts.
Continuously documents activities with the identified target accounts.
Utilizes relationships and documented activities to leverage value-add at the identified target accounts.
Establishes relationships with vendors of assigned technologies as the technical liaison for sales and support and communicates with IS.
Develops annual business plan for assigned accounts.
Investigates product/service warranty claims to ensure resolution within organization policies.
Participates in the development of contracts and agreements with vendors of assigned technologies.
Manages the availability and the identified strategic account requirements for the assigned technology products.
Educates and trains inside and Sales staff on the assigned technology products.
Develops and maintains the information and support infrastructure required for the assigned technology products.
Qualifies the level of assistance provided to customers with product and integration issues.
Develops the vendor service/support strategies for the assigned technology products.
May attend industry trade shows and sales conferences.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree desired; and a minimum of 5 - 6 years related sales experience with assigned product lines and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Account Manager (General) level is distinguished by products or services that do not require scientific training or knowledge and success is more dependent on sales ability. Products or services are of a complexity that could generally be mastered in a six to twelve month period.
